Amid the worsening air quality situation in Delhi, the state Environment Minister Gopal Rai has announced that the odd even vehicle system formula will be applicable for one week, from 13th to 20th of November.
He said that the the odd even formula has earlier also been implemented. The Minister explained that with festivals lined up including Diwali and Chhathh puja ahead along with cricket match scheduled, there is a possibility that fire crackers might be burned and thus the pollution might spike.
He said that police teams have been asked to prepare and deploy to prevent people from bursting fire crackers.
