Drones have emerged as a major threat for the security of the nation’s borders as cheap and assembled ones can be deployed in large numbers for narco smuggling or terror purposes.
The Border Security Forces have on the night of October 12- 13 recovered 2.2 kg of suspected heroin dropped by a Pakistani drone in Srikaranpur of Sector Sriganganagar near the India-Pakistan International Border.
BSF sources confirmed that the value of the recovered contraband is estimated to be around Rs 12 crores.
