Chhattisgarh Pradesh Congress leaders congregated for a crucial meeting in Rajiv Bhavan on Wednesday. The meeting was convened to deliberate on political situation in the state and it was agreed to emphasise intensifying the campaign against the government in the coming days.

It was decided during this session to stage a protest at the state Legislative Assembly on the 24th, in wake of recent BalodaBazaar unrest situation. Many public interest Issues likely to be taken up during the assembly session were also deliberated upon in the meeting.

The meeting, chaired by Congress state chief Deepak Baij, was attended prominently by Dr. Charandas Mahant and former CM Bhupesh Baghel. MPs Jyotsana Mahant and Phoolodevi Netam were also invited. Former Deputy CM TS Singh Deo, former Minister Tamradhwaj Sahu, Ravindra Choubey, Dhanendra Sahu, and other leaders were present as well.

Sources indicated that the Baloda Bazaar incident was deliberated elaborately in the meeting and it was described a first-time occurrence in the state indicating failure of governance. It was decided that a protest would be staged at the Legislative Assembly during the session on the 24th. Party legislators, along with officials at all levels of the organization and workers from across the state, are expected to participate.
