Chile backs India for UNSC permanent seat, calls for inclusion by year 2025

Chilean President Gabriel Boric addressing the General Assembly, emphasizing the need for reforms in the United Nations ahead of its 80th anniversary. He advocates for Brazil, India, and an African nation to be granted permanent membership in the Security Council to address current global challenges effectively.

There is now increasing frustration about the ineffectiveness of the United Nations as there are wars and conflicts brewing all over the world. Many smaller countries are facing troubles including of food fuel and fertilizer but the wars are not being allowed to end. 

It is in this context that Chile President Gabriel Boric took a stand in his speech in the General Assembly and said that United Nations should stand reformed prior to it celebrating the 80 th birthday.

He proposed on behalf of his country that Brazil from Latin America and India but also one country from Africa must be made permanent member of United Nations Security Council to make it effective and relevant to today's times.

India has since past few years heightened its campaign to be included as permanent member of United Nations Security Council. It has garnered support of many a countries including Russia and United States.
