Chief Minister Watches 'The Sabarmati Report' with Family at Raipur's Magneto Mall

Raipur : Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai, accompanied by his wife Kausalya Devi Sai and other family members, attended a special screening of the film 'The Sabarmati Report' at Magneto Mall in Raipur. The film, directed by Ekta Kapoor and starring Ridhi Dogra, attempts to reveal the truth behind the tragic Godhra train incident that occurred 22 years ago in Gujarat.


CM Praises the Film's Efforts

The Chief Minister lauded the film as a powerful and commendable attempt to shed light on a significant historical event. Speaking after the screening, he said, "This film uncovers the grim reality of a tragic chapter in our history. It is an impactful effort to bring the truth to the forefront."

Tax-Free Status for the Film

Highlighting its importance, the Chief Minister announced that the film has been made tax-free in the state, encouraging families to watch it together. He remarked, "It is essential for the younger generation to learn about this sorrowful event from our past. Understanding history can provide better guidance for the present and future. This film sensitively portrays a painful episode, making it a must-watch for all."

Several prominent leaders accompanied the Chief Minister at the event, including Assembly Speaker Dr. Raman Singh, Deputy Chief Minister Arun Sahu, Forest Minister Kedar Kashyap, Health Minister Shyambihari Jaiswal, and Women and Child Development Minister Laxmi Rajwade.

The film screening marked a significant moment, blending cinema and history to foster awareness and reflection on one of India’s most tragic events.
