Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav's father, Poonamchand Yadav, passed away on Tuesday evening at the age of 100. He had been hospitalized for a week in Ujjain.

Originally from Ratlam, he moved to Ujjain seeking better opportunities, starting his career in a diamond mill before opening a Bhajiya shop in Malipura and later a Dal-Bafla shop in Freegunj. Despite his advanced age, he continued to work personally in the market, demonstrating remarkable self-reliance.
He was deeply committed to his children's education, raising his sons Nandu, Narayan, and Mohan Yadav, and his daughters Kalavati and Shanti Devi, with a focus on providing them a better future.
