Chief Minister escapes fire incident, security lapse being probed now

Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma, who was staying at the Jodhpur House in Delhi, is said to have survived a fire that was caused due to a short circuit in the room heater system.

Though CM Sharma escaped unscathed, there are reports that a lapse in CM security has been reported and is being probed.

It is learnt that despite the repeated summons of the CM, the security personnel did not reach him in time but the authorities have yet to confirm this piece of allegation.

It is learned that a team led by Assistant Resident Commissioner Rinku Meena has been tasked to probe the lapses and recommend action against staffers.
