Well known Durg based folk artist Amrita Barle breathed her last at the age of 65 years. She had been bestowed with Mini Mata Rajya Alankran Samman at the hands of President of India. She was a well known exponent of Bharthari and Panthi folk artforms.
Those close to her revealed that she had been ailing for sometime now and had to be admitted to ICU for worsening condition.
Amrita Barle was born on May 2 of 1958 in Bathena village of Patan of Durg district.
