The Union Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs approved the proposal, recognizing Chhattisgarh’s exemplary implementation of the scheme.

Support for Applicants: Saw directed urban local bodies not to reject applications due to incomplete documents. Adequate time and assistance will be provided to applicants for document submission.

Collaboration with Revenue Departments: Urban administration officials are coordinating with revenue offices to expedite the issuance of caste and income certificates for beneficiaries.

Housing Program Overview:

Under PMAY-Urban 2.0, launched on September 1, 2024, the government aims to provide affordable housing to economically weaker sections (EWS), low-income groups (LIG), and middle-income groups (MIG) in urban areas.
