Raipur: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has launched raids in connection with the Chhattisgarh Public Service Commission (CGPSC) scam. The controversy revolves around the selection of certain candidates in the CGPSC recruitment process from 2019 to 2022. Cases of corruption and irregularities have been registered by the Economic Offenses Wing (EOW) and Arjunda police. Suspicion has been raised regarding the selection of 18 candidates in 2021, leading to raids at their residences.

In the ongoing investigation, raids were conducted at some candidates' homes for two days. Reports indicate that the raids took place on October 12. Over 300 books and notebooks found at the homes were scrutinized, along with the examination of mobile phones, computers, and laptops. Hard disks and pen drives were also seized from some residences. Investigations are ongoing into the bank accounts of the candidates and their family members.

Key individuals being questioned in the investigation include Sumit Dhruv, son of PSC Secretary Jeevan Kishore; Neha and Nikhil, daughter and son of Amrit Khalkho, who was a secretary to the governor during the previous government; Sakshi, daughter of DIG Dhruv; Ananya Agarwal, daughter of a Congress leader; Shashank Goyal, the son-in-law of a Congress leader; and Khushbu Bijoura, the daughter of a minister's OSD's brother-in-law.
