Bus Catches Fire After Collision with Truck, Dozens Burnt Alive
Mexico City - A horrific accident occurred in the southern Mexican state of Tabasco where a passenger bus caught fire following a collision with a truck.
The incident resulted in the tragic deaths of 41 individuals, including 38 passengers and two drivers. The bus was traveling from Cancun to Tabasco.
Authorities in Tabasco have reported that 38 bodies have been recovered so far. Tours Acosta, involved in the investigation, stated that they are working alongside officials to determine the cause of the accident and whether the bus was adhering to speed limits.
Tabasco government secretary Ramiro Lopez announced that final details regarding the number of casualties and their identities would be released soon.
The local municipal council, Palacio Municipal de Comalcalco, has pledged to assist in transporting the bodies of the deceased back to their hometowns.
