British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak fires Conservative Member of Parliament Paul Bristow from his government post after he called for a ceasefire in Gaza.
“Tory” was removed from the position of assistant minister in the Department of Science, Innovation and Technology after he sent a letter to the prime minister calling for an end to hostilities between Israel and Hamas.
British MP Paul Bristow was suspended by the party leadership for calling for an end to hostilities in the Gaza Strip. The government asked Bristow to “resign his post… following comments that were inconsistent with the principles of collective responsibility.”
