Bomb Threat Hoax in Lucknow: Police Conduct Sweeping Checks at Key Locations

Lucknow, UP: Police, along with a bomb squad and a dog squad, launched a thorough search at three major locations in Lucknow after receiving a bomb threat through the emergency helpline number 112. The suspected targets were Hussainganj Metro Station, Charbagh Station, and Alambagh.

According to ADCP Central, Manisha Singh, the call initially raised alarm, claiming that bombs were planted at the mentioned sites. In response, the bomb detection and disposal squad (BDDS) and the dog squad were deployed to inspect the areas. Singh confirmed that after a comprehensive check, it was determined that the threat was a hoax.

"The caller had informed 112 about the bomb threats at Hussainganj Metro Station, Charbagh station, and Alambagh. After a thorough search, it was found that the information was false. The checking process has now been completed at all these locations," she stated. Authorities have assured the public that there is no danger, and operations have returned to normal at all the sites involved.
