Bollywood actress Nushrratt Bharuccha was in Israel on Saturday when Hamas launched an unprecedented terror offensive in southern part of the country. There were reports that she took refuge in a basement as is the safety standard for all who remain in Israel during outbreak of hostilities.
The movie actress was travelling to Israel to participate in the Haifa International Film Festival but as hostilities broke out, she had to take refuge in the basement and her team has since been unable to connect to her.
Nushrratt Bharuccha was in Israel along with Akelii co-star Tsahi Halevi in the film festival. Not much details about her location was disclosed for her own safety, it was said.
Hundreds of Israelis have been killed while dozens have been taken hostage and taken back to Gaza strip while Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu has termed it a war on his country with vow to reply in equal measure.
