BJP Organization Elections: Four New Mandals to be Formed in Raipur, Total to Rise from 16 to 20

BJP

The ongoing organizational elections within the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) have brought significant changes in Raipur. As part of the party's expansion, four new mandals (sub-divisions) will be formed, increasing the number of mandals in the city from 16 to 20. The new mandals will include Banjari, Mowa, Tati Bandh, and Bhathagaon. Appointments for these new mandals will also take place during the ongoing organizational process.

This expansion comes as BJP prepares for the election of a new national president, scheduled for January next year. In the lead-up to this, organizational elections are being conducted across the country, with Chhattisgarh also in the midst of its internal election process. The booth committee elections, which began on November 20, were originally set to conclude by November 30. However, due to delays, the deadline was extended to December 5. As of December 3, booth committees have been formed in over 20,000 booths, though reports from six districts are still pending.

Election Process for Mandal Presidents

BJP's organizational elections in Chhattisgarh also include elections for 405 mandals. Initially, these elections were scheduled to begin on December 1 but were delayed due to a state-level meeting. After a workshop held on December 2 in all districts, the election process for mandal presidents started on December 3 and will conclude by December 15. In each mandal, candidates will be selected either through consensus or, where needed, by voting.

The process marks a critical phase as BJP seeks to strengthen its organizational structure ahead of the upcoming national elections.
