BJP Likely to Complete Organizational Reshuffle in Chhattisgarh by December 25

BJP

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is set to finalize appointments at the mandal (block) and district president levels in Chhattisgarh by December 25, according to party sources. However, no timeline has been provided for changes at the state president level. Following the membership drive, the party is now in the final stages of forming a new organizational structure across all levels in the state.

Mandal and District-Level Updates

The BJP’s organizational structure in Chhattisgarh comprises 475 mandals and 35 organizational districts.

Out of these, 320 mandal presidents have already been announced, while the remaining names, including those in Bastar, Rajnandgaon, and Durg, are expected to be finalized and declared by December 21.

District Presidents: The appointment process for all 35 district presidents is expected to be completed by December 25.

Central guidelines mandate that district presidents must fall within the 45-60 age range, a rule that will apply to all appointments.

Silence on State President Appointment

While there is no official confirmation regarding a potential change in the state president position, sources point towards a decision being in the hands of the central leadership in Delhi.

Currently, the state BJP president is the MLA from Jagdalpur, who was appointed just before the Lok Sabha elections. He succeeded Arun Sao, who served as Deputy Chief Minister in the BJP government.

What Lies Ahead

The reshuffle aims to strengthen the party's organizational framework as it gears up for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. The completion of the appointments at the mandal and district levels will be a key step toward consolidating the BJP’s grassroots presence in Chhattisgarh.
