Amid air quality concerns in Delhi after Diwali festival, Minister Gopal Rai told media, ” The bursting of firecrackers has increased pollution levels in Delhi. Not many people have burst firecrackers but, it was done in some places in a targeted manner. The way BJP leaders were inciting people, its result can be seen today…”.
Air Quality in Delhi has deteriorated to ‘Poor’ category, as per the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB). Light haze envelopes parts of Delhi as overall air quality remains in ‘poor’ category.
But BJP leader Amit Malviya has posted on X to say, “Meanwhile, stubble burning continues unabated in Punjab. No questions asked to either Arvind Kejriwal or Bhagwant Mann. Newspapers and TV channels are shying away from even naming Punjab as the hot spot for farm fires (Thread Below). Thanks to the ad revenue from AAP Govts. Had it not been for the rains, Delhi would have, by now, chocked to death. Address the real issue instead of targeting faith and Hindu festivals”.
