Indian National Lok Dal (INLD) and the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) have announced to contest the upcoming Haryana Assembly elections

Indian National Lok Dal (INLD) and the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) have announced to contest the upcoming Haryana Assembly elections together. The alliance was finalized after INLD leader Abhay Chautala met with BSP supremo Mayawati. This makes the Haryana election trilateral at least as Congress and BJP are the other two main parties in the state. Of the 90 seats in Haryana, the BSP will contest 37. Abhay Chautala will lead the alliance.

Ahead of Haryana state election, INLD leader Abhay Singh Chautala declared, "Today the sentiment of the common man is that the BJP, which has been looting this state for 10 years, should be removed from power and the Congress party should be kept away from power... We will bring together people who have formed their own political parties in Haryana, who are against both the BJP and the Congress, and we will form a front in which people's trust will increase and in the coming times a coalition government will be formed in this state."

On forming alliance with INLD party in Haryana, BSP national coordinator, Akash Anand says, "...if you go to the villages and talk to the people, you will know how much anger and resentment is there among the people here, how their voices were not heard, how work was not done for them. We feel that the coalition government will be able to give very good results here. We are confident that we will form the government..."
