BIG BREAK, Top court stays UP govt order compelling owners name on food stalls
Supreme Court stays directive by the Uttar Pradesh government directing shop owners to display their names outside shops during the Kanwar Yatra. The top court has stayed Uttar Pradesh govt order compelling restaurant owners to display their name outside their eateries on the Kanwar Yatra route.
The interim stay has been issued on the order mandating for the name to be displayed. SC says details of food served may be displayed by the owners, but no one should be compelled to display their identities.
