As the last phase voting is left on June 1, Congress MP Rahul Gandhi speaking in Himachal Pradesh said, “…A list will be prepared of the poor people in the country…From every poor family, a woman’s name will be selected…On 5th July, Rs 8,500 will be credited to the bank accounts of crores of poor women in the country..”.
“This will continue from July to August to September, October, November, December and so on ‘thaka-thak, thaka-thak andar’…And when this takes place if the media will raise any questions, we will say that we will double this amount…”, he promised to the gathering as he campaigned for the grand old party.
Himachal Pradesh currently has Congress rule but the opposition BJP is highly aggressive on the many issues facing the state.
