Hoshangabad, Madhya Pradesh: In a terrifying incident that serves as a stark reminder to check shoes before wearing them, a schoolboy narrowly escaped a dangerous encounter with Asia's deadliest snake.

The shocking event occurred in Hoshangabad district when a Class 9 student discovered a Russell’s viper coiled inside his shoe.

The Incident

The boy, Ayushman, a resident of Gulabi Nagar on Hoshangabad Road, was preparing for school on Thursday morning. As he slipped his foot into his shoe, he felt movement inside.

Alarmed, he quickly removed his shoe and was horrified to find a snake coiled tightly within. The snake, identified as a Russell's viper, is one of the most venomous species in Asia. Fortunately, Ayushman’s foot grazed the snake, but it did not bite him.

Acting swiftly, he shook the shoe vigorously, causing the snake to fall out. Ayushman immediately shouted for help, and his family rushed to his aid. The sight of the venomous snake left everyone in shock.

Possible Explanation

Ayushman’s house is located near a park, and it is believed that the snake may have slithered into the house from the park and sought refuge in the boy’s shoe.
