Army personnel steps on a landmine, gets rushed to Udhampur Command hospital

An Indian Army personnel sustained injuries in a landmine explosion in Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir near Line of Control.

Identified as Rifleman Gurucharan Singh, it is learnt that he was on patrol duty when he stepped on landmine in Kalsian village.

After administering first aid to him, he had to be airlifted to the Udhampur Command hospital for advanced treatment.

The Army sources said that the landmines are being used to stop infiltration from across the border.
