Any other govt won't last more than six months, BJP leader's controversial remark, Congress furious
With the announcement of Haryana Assembly election dates, political parties have ramped up their preparations, and a war of words has begun among leaders. Amidst this, Haryana minister J.P. Dalal has sparked controversy with a statement.
Dalal asserted that his party would form the government in Haryana. However, he added that even if they don't manage to form the government, their leaders in Delhi would ensure that any government formed doesn't last more than six months. Dalal made these remarks in the Haryanvi language, and the video has quickly gone viral on social media.
In his statement, Dalal mentioned the widespread speculation that Congress might come to power in the state. He recalled that there was similar talk during the last elections, yet the results were nearly evenly split at 44-42. He further stated that even if, in a worst case scenario, they fall short due to some mistake or divine displeasure, their leadership in Delhi would not let the Congress government survive for more than six months.
Reacting to Dalal's statement, Haryana Congress in-charge Deepak Babaria demanded his resignation, arguing that such remarks reflect the mentality of BJP leaders. Babaria claimed that Dalal had exposed a significant conspiracy by his party and called for an investigation by the ED and CBI, accusing Dalal of anti-national activities and openly flouting the Constitution.
