Andheri

During the immersion of the Andheri Cha Raja idol at Mumbai's Versova Beach on Sunday, a boat carrying devotees capsized, leading to panic among the crowd. Around 11:00 AM, over two dozen people fell into the sea during the ceremony. Witnesses and bystanders quickly sprang into action to rescue those who had fallen overboard. Thankfully, there were no reported casualties, and a major accident was narrowly averted. However, one person sustained serious injuries.

In the incident at Versova Beach, a viral video captured the moment the boat capsized with the Ganesha idol and its passengers. While many managed to swim to safety, others clung to the statue and its pedestal to avoid drowning, as nearby boats responded swiftly to assist with the rescue.
