Amit Shah constitutes committee to monitor India Bangladesh border, amid violence outbreak there
India's Union Home Minister Amit Shah has confirmed that in the wake of the ongoing situation in Bangladesh, the Modi government has constituted a committee to monitor the current situation on the Indo-Bangladesh Border (IBB).
"The committee will maintain communication channels with their counterpart authorities in Bangladesh to ensure the safety and security of Indian nationals, Hindus, and other minority communities living there.The committee will be headed by the ADG, Border Security Force, Eastern Command", he said.
It need be mentioned that the committee may have been necesisated due to possibility of infiltration in India amid the violence in Bangladesh.
Already one such incident has come to light and the BSF not only intercepted them but also persuaded them to remain in Bangladesh.
