Israeli foreign minister Eli Cohen has gone ahead and thanked Indian counterpart Dr S Jaishankar for support of Israel and its war against the Hamas terrorist organization.
He went on to describe Israel’s war as the entire democratic world’s war against a despicable terrorist organization that is worst than ISIS.
On his part, Dr Jaishankar revealed that he received the Israeli assessment of the prevailing situation and interestingly then reiterated ”firm commitment to countering terrorism, observance of international humanitarian law and for a two state solution”.
It need be mentioned that India has lately been expressing its concern on the terrorism that took place on Oct 7 in Israel even when the other political parties in India are of the view that Palestinian issue needed to be upheld more by world’s largest democracy.
