In Bahraich, Uttar Pradesh, the threat posed by wolves continues unabated. The latest incident occurred in the Nanpara tehsil, where wolves targeted a goat tied outside a home. CCTV footage has surfaced showing the wolves seizing the goat in their jaws and dragging it away.

The video captures two wolves making off with the goat, highlighting the ongoing menace of man-eating wolves in the area. Although the local administration has successfully captured several wolves, the last one, a limping alpha wolf, remains elusive.

Recently, a pack of four wolves was spotted at the farm of BJP legislative council member Padamsen Chaudhary, raising alarms among local residents. They claim that one of the wolves in this pack is the limping one sought by the forest department. The presence of this new pack has intensified fear among the community.

In recent days, a group of six wolves had turned man-eating, with five members captured so far. The hunt is still on for the last remaining wolf. Forest officials noted that wolves typically do not exhibit carnivorous behavior, making it a matter of research to understand what triggered this particular pack’s predation. They assured that they are closely monitoring the area where the wolves were spotted on Wednesday.
