‘All Eyes on Reasi’ trends on Indian social media, after terror attack on bus carrying pilgrims, search ops continue in nearby forests

India’s President Droupadi Murmu has posted on X to say, “I am anguished by the terrorist attack on a bus carrying pilgrims in Reasi district of Jammu and Kashmir. This dastardly act is a crime against humanity and must be condemned in the strongest words. The nation stands with the families of the victims. I pray for the speedy recovery of the injured.” 
The attack unfolded on Sunday evening even as Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his new cabinet was being sworn in in the presence of very many domestic and foreign dignitaries. While many of the leaders from neighbouring countries were invited in the swearing in ceremony, Pakistan was not.

It was a terror attack on bus carrying pilgrims in Reasi of Jammu. It is learnt that the bus was coming from Shiv Khori and was going to Katra. The terrorists fired on the bus after which the driver lost control and the vehicle dived into the ditch closeby.

An Army helicopter and drones were deployed to conduct a search operation in Reasi following an attack by terrorists on a bus carrying pilgrims in Reasi. After the attack by terrorists on the bus, it fell into a gorge and 10 people lost their lives in the terror attack.

Many bullets have been recovered from the spot where vehicle was spotted. Thus far ten have been confirmed dead and another 33 have been injured.

Jammu and Kashmir BJP President Ravinder Raina says, “Cowardly Pakistani terrorists have carried out a cowardly attack on the passengers in Reasi, Jammu and Kashmir… Cowardly Pakistani terrorists cannot face the Indian Army, Jammu and Kashmir Police and our paramilitary forces… The terrorists who have carried out this audacity will have to pay a heavy price for their crime.”
SSP Reasi, Mohita Sharma stated, “….reports suggest that terrorists fired upon the passenger bus going from Shiv Khori to Katra. Due to the firing, the bus driver lost balance of the bus and it fell into gorge. 9 people dead and 33 people were injured in the incident. Rescue operation has been completed. The identities of the passengers have not been confirmed yet, they are not locals. Shiv Khori shrine was secured and area domination was done.”
