Big progress on India’s Gaganyaan mission as the Indian space agency, ISRO, is all set to launch first test flight (TV-D1 Flight Test) today from the First launch pad at SDSC-SHAR, Sriharikota. It will be a short-duration mission.
ISRO will conduct Gaganyaan’s First Flight Test Vehicle Abort Mission-1 (TV-D1).
It need be recalled that Gaganyaan project envisages demonstration of human spaceflight capability by launching crew of three members to an orbit of 400 km for a 3 days mission and bring them back safely to earth, by landing in Indian sea waters.
The Gaganyaan mission‘s success will put India on a list of just four countries that can launch a crewed spacecraft by itself.
