In Gujarat, Vadodara Airport receives bomb threat via e-mail. ACP Vadodara, GB Bambhaniya says, "... The airport received a threat e-mail yesterday. All departments were alerted. Inner and outer areas of the airport were thoroughly checked by dog squads... Commissioner of Police has handed over the case to the Cyber Crime Team for further investigation..."
On Friday, Vadodara Airport received an email containing a bomb threat, which also mentioned potential threats to airports in Ahmedabad, Rajkot, and Bhuj. Authorities later confirmed that the threat was a hoax. The Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), stationed at Vadodara's Harni Airport, received the alarming email early in the morning.
Following the receipt of the threat, an extensive search operation was conducted by the police, fire brigade, bomb disposal unit, and a dog squad. Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Panna Momaya provided details, revealing that the email was sent from the address generalshiva76@rediffmail.com. An FIR was subsequently registered at Harni police station under Section 351(4) of the Bharatiya Nyay Sanhita (BNS), which pertains to criminal intimidation via anonymous communication. The email contained provocative language, stating, "I have tickled their ego and have frustrated them! Hahahaha! Result? Boom, boom and bangs! Big big bangs!! Hohohohohoho! No stopping, no escape! Let the games begin! Jai Mahakal, Jai Ma Adishakti!"
