An Air India Express flight had to be diverted to Karachi due to a medical emergency. It is learnt that a passenger onboard developed some medical complications that forced the flight to land in Karachi.
The Karachi landing was decided upon due to its proximity when the passenger onboard complained of medical condition. The flight took off from Dubai and was headed for Amritsar.
The airliner said that they were in coordination with the airport authorities and the patient onboard was provided with needed medical care as soon as the plane landed.
The flight that took off from Dubai suffered a two hour delay to Amritsar due to this diversion.
