Durg administration has initiated an action against sitting MLA Arun Vora for violating the election code of conduct rules.
As per the Durg Collector, Puhspendra Meena, a complaint had been received that despite the election code of conduct in force, the MLA visited a government school to appeal to students there for votes of their parents.
It is alleged that the legislator promised to rebuild the old building if elected again as MLA. When the complaint was filed, the District Electoral Officer formed a three member committee to probe and the report has now been submitted to the administration.
Durg Collector said that notices have been issued to MLA Arun Vora but also to the school principal for allowing this visit in the premises.
He said further action will be taken after receiving the reply of the legislator.
