Actor Samantha Responds to Minister’s Remarks Linking KTR to Her Divorce: "Keep My Name Out of Politics"
Actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu has responded to allegations made by Telangana Minister Konda Surekha, who claimed that BRS leader KT Rama Rao (KTR) played a role in her divorce from Naga Chaitanya. The actress, known for maintaining her personal life away from public scrutiny, urged political figures to keep her name out of political disputes.
Samantha addressed the remarks on Instagram, where she emphasized that her divorce was a personal matter, resolved amicably and with mutual consent. She urged the minister to be responsible and avoid spreading baseless claims. “I have always stayed away from politics, and I request that my personal life not be used for political agendas,” she wrote.
The actress also highlighted the challenges women face in the entertainment industry and expressed pride in her personal journey, calling for respect and privacy.
Jr. NTR also condemned the remarks, criticizing the minister for dragging personal lives into politics and emphasizing the importance of maintaining respect for privacy. He urged public figures to refrain from making baseless allegations, especially in the film industry.
Naga Chaitanya has not yet responded to the allegations, but his father, veteran actor Nagarjuna Akkineni, labeled the minister's statements as "completely irrelevant and false" and demanded a retraction.
