AAP Alleges Conspiracy to Arrest Delhi CM Atishi Ahead of Election

Delhi

In a dramatic turn of events ahead of the Delhi Assembly elections, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal has made a serious allegation against central agencies, claiming a plot to arrest Delhi Chief Minister Atishi.

Kejriwal stated, “As per sources, there was a recent meeting involving the CBI, ED, and Income Tax (I-T) departments, where they were directed to fabricate a false case to arrest CM Atishi. This is nothing but political vendetta.”

AAP’s Counter to BJP’s Allegations

Kejriwal accused the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of failing to deliver on governance in Delhi, stating, “In the last ten years, BJP has done no significant work in Delhi. They are relying solely on criticising and abusing me to ask for votes.”

Highlighting AAP’s achievements, he added, “The Aam Aadmi Party has a positive campaign, showcasing our work. We have announced the Mahila Samman Yojana and a scheme for free medical treatment for senior citizens. The BJP is rattled by the overwhelming registrations for these schemes.”

Key Announcements by AAP

Mahila Samman Yojana: Provides ₹1000 monthly allowance to eligible women. The Delhi Cabinet has already approved the scheme, and a notification has been issued.

Free Medical Treatment for Senior Citizens: Aimed at ensuring healthcare accessibility for the elderly. “These schemes reflect our commitment to improving the lives of Delhi’s citizens,” Kejriwal said.

BJP’s Reaction and Political Tensions

The BJP has yet to respond to these allegations but has consistently targeted the AAP government over its policies and alleged corruption. The accusation of a fabricated case against CM Atishi is expected to heighten political tensions in the run-up to the elections. The AAP’s claims of political vendetta, coupled with its focus on welfare schemes, are likely to shape the narrative in a closely watched electoral battle in Delhi.
