India’s tricolour hoisted at new Parliament building, ‘..historic moment’ says Vice President, day before new Special Session set to commence

It is a new beginning and history being made right before our eyes. On Sunday, Rajya Sabha Chairman and Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar hoisted the national flag at Gaj Dwar, of the New Building of Parliament.

“It is a historic moment, Bharat is witnessing epochal change. The world is in total recognition of might, power and contribution of Bharat,” said Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar talking to media after hoisting national flag at Gaj Dwar in new Parliament building in Delhi.

The ceremony was held on the Vishwakarma Jayanti, the Hindu festival to worship a deity of engineering and technical skills.

Rajya Sabha Chairman and Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar and Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla meet Parliamentary Affairs Minister Pralhad Joshi, Union Ministers V Muraleedharan, Piyush Goyal, Arjun Ram Meghwal, Congress MPs Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury and Pramod Tiwari at the New Building of Parliament, after the flag hoisting ceremony.

Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge to skip flag-hoisting ceremony at the new Parliament building as it is being said that he got late invite.
