As there was outrage after CCTV footage established how an intermediate girl student met her death after two bike borne tried to molest her by snatching her clothing, police acted promptly and apprehended the three accused.
Now it has emerged that the accused tried to flee from the police custody by snatching the firearms. The police claims it had no option but to retaliate which led to two of the accused sustaining injury to their leg while a third also got hurt in his leg trying to escape.
Dr Shalabh Mani Tripathi, the Devaria MLA, shared the visuals of the three accused in police custody, now limping due to injured leg. He claimed that the three might never have a normal leg to walk on or ride bike.
The public outrage on this incident was after it emerged that the school girl was cycling to her home just when the two bike borne Shahbaz and Arbaaj came from behind and snatched the girl’s clothing ‘dupatta’ which led her to lose balance and she was struck by another bike leading to her death.
The girl’s father too has filed complaint that his girl was often harassed by these two boys and he now wants strictest possible action against the two.
