”We don’t hate..” says political party spokesperson, after opposition alliance decision of boycott, that’s come under heavy criticism

“We have made this decision with a heavy heart. We are not opposed to any of these anchors. We don’t hate any of these anchors. But, we love our country more. We love our Bharat,” says Congress leader Pawan Khera on opposition alliance’s decision to boycott a few TV anchors.

This clarification came after the opposition alliance stitched against PM Narendra Modi and his BJP led NDA for the parliamentary election of 2024, formally notified their decision to boycott the shows of 14 TV anchors alleging that they only promote BJP line of argument. This keeps the Congress led opposition alliance dependent on social media and a few of the youtubers to further their narrative in the public domain.

The alliance coordination committee had decided that TV anchors who often resort to provocative debates need to be highlighted and sidelined. But the decision has come under quite a heavy criticism even from those journos or activists who are sympathetic to the opposition block.

This decision taken and released formally would open a pandora’s box as the ruling party or alliance may come up with a list of their own and this would divide the media on party lines and none will be able to claim impartiality or furthering people’s narrative.
