Three dead, one injured after firing between two sides, insistence on clearing milk dues led to escalation, heavy police deployment

Insisting on clearing payments of milk supply led to outbreak of tension so bad that the two sides resorted to firing leaving three dead while one left injured. Police rushed the injured to hospital after the firing incident but three people succumbed to injuries.

The deceased have been identified as 50 year old Jai Singh, 40 year old Shailesh Kumar and 35 year old Pradeep Kumar. The injured, say the police, has been identified as 22 year old Mintoos Kumar.

Police sources say that the preliminary probe suggests that the two sides may have had some disputes but the immediate trigger for the firing was the insistence on clearing on payment for milk delivery.
