As many as 53 passengers were rescued from bus that got trapped in the swollen river due to the rainfall. The case is of Haridwar in Uttarakhand.
Visuals shared online show that people who were rescued had to tread cautiously amid water flow to reach the land. Police has confirmed that all of the people on board were rescued.
It may be mentioned that both Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh have had to suffer quite a heavy loss in these past months due to the one of the heaviest downpour.
