In poll bound Chhattisgarh, opposition BJP is likely to announced a second list of candidates today itself after the Prime Minister’s visit to Raigarh concludes. This after party’s central election committee, headed by PM Modi and includes Union Home Minister Amit Shah and party chief JP Nadda, finalized the list of candidates for Chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh, both election bound by November of this year.

The saffron party has already issued a list of 22 candidates, mostly in seats where it has never won electorally.

But the ruling party in Congress is said to be still struggling with a formula to make way for winnable candidates even if it means dropping many of the sitting MLAs as well as Ministers. There have been multiple media reports that have claimed that as many 40 MLAs may be dropped and fresh faces may be fielded on their seats in view of the massive anti incumbency found on those seats.

Party would also have to take care of the rebellion with such large number of replacements.
