Made in India iPhones to feature on launch day

Apple plans to sell made-in-India iPhone 15s on launch day, marking the first time devices assembled in India and China will debut together.

Electronic industry experts point out that iPhone15 marks a milestone for India’s electronic ambitions. The assembly of iPhones in India will help Apple broaden its manufacturing beyond China.

Apple still sources major chunk of its iPhones from China but this will be the first time that the Made In India phones get featured on the launch day.

Sources informed that the Tamil Nadu based iPhone units are gearing upto dispatch after initial roll out from Chinese factories.
