India routed Pakistan on the cricket field in the first Super 4 match of the Asia Cup after Virat Kohli and KL Rahul hit spectacular hundreds in Colombo on Monday. However, Virat Kohli became the fastest Indian to reach 13000 ODI.

BCCI Vice President Rajeev Shukla says, “Today Virat Kohli and KL Rahul did wonders, 356 runs on 2 wickets… India made a huge score… It was beyond people’s imagination, the way they demonstrated… This is a huge achievement. This is a big victory for us, so many congratulations to the Indian team.”
Cricket fans across the subcontinent waved the tricolour and chanted ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai’ and ‘Vande Matram’ as India beat Pakistan in the Asia Cup Super 4 match, by 228 runs. India’s 356 for 2 is their joint highest team total in one-day internationals against Pakistan.
Kohli and Rahul added an unbeaten 233 runs for the third wicket, the highest ever in Asia Cup history for any wicket. This is also Kohli’s fourth consecutive hundred in Colombo’s Premdasa stadium.
When it comes to Pakistan, they were never in the game chasing a massive 357 as Jasprit Bumrah struck early to remove Imam-ul-Haq. Hardik Pandya got rid of Babar Azam while Shardul Thakur dismissed Mohammed Rizwan.
Pakistan did not show that they were in the field to put up with a fight as the Indian pacers rattled the Pakistani top order.
