Indian Army showcases ‘Light Strike Vehicles’ meant for ops in Ladakh, hilly areas, social media impressed, wants civilian version launched too

Keen to emerge as net exporter of defence systems to the world, India showcased its latest Light Specialist Vehicles (LSVs) for the Army ops at the North Tech Symposium.

It was highlighted that the LSVs can be equipped with anti-tank guided missile launchers, medium machine guns, and grenade launchers. It can also be used to rush troops to forward areas for quick reaction and for supplying ammo and rations to forward troops.

These new types of off-road and all-terrain vehicles now acquired by the Indian Army for operations in rugged terrains in the Ladakh sector and near the Line of Control was showcased for the public.

North Tech Symposium is organised by the Northern Command of Indian Army. The three-day symposium will be graced by Chief of Defence Staff Gen Anil Chauhan.
