Former Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu was sent to judicial custody till Sept 23 and has been allowed some amenities including home cooked food and a special room in addition to prescribed medication.

It was a Vijaywada court that sent former CM to 14-days judicial custody in an alleged multi-crore scam case. The former CM’s party TDP has called for statewide bandh on Monday to protest the arrest.

Whats even more important is that another major political Andhra party, Jana Sena, with film actor Pawan Kalyan at its helm, has also extended its support to the call for state wide Bandh.

JSP chief Kalyan alleged that the state ruling dispensation is out to harass the opposition parties and that peaceful Bandh will be supported to protest the heavyhanded approach of the government.
