It was no secret right from the outset of the G 20 that the most difficult negotiations for a consensus would be on the Russia Ukrain conflict.

Russia along with China had hardened their positions and Western was always hawkish on this issue. So the expectation that a Delhi declaration would be adopted by all members was low from the start. But it finally happened and the geopolitical analysts from worldover are shocked at how the consensus was reached.

Now Amitabh Kant, the Indian Sherpa for the G 20, introduced to the world about the two IFS officers, Nagaraj Naidu Kakanur and Eenam Gambhir, who made it happen after all.

The two IFS officers negotiated with both sides and came up with a draft agreement with which surprisingly, none had any objection.

It all concluded quite well for the Indian G 20 Presidency when Amitabh Kant announced

“With 83 paras and absolutely no dissent , no footnotes, no chair summaries – the #NewDelhiLeadersDeclaration symbolises unparalleled global consensus. Steered by the vision of PM @narendramodi, #G20India Presidency has delivered phenomenal action on high ambitions for the world”.
