Big political development as former Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu was on Saturday arrested by the state CID in a corruption case.
While a First Information Report in the case was first filed in year 2021, what is learnt now is that an arrest warrant was served to the former Chief Minister, who is also now TDP chief.
The Andhra leader had just completed his address to a public meeting in Nandyala city and was resting in his vanity van when the CID officials descended there to serve him with the arrest warrant. It needs to be mentioned that Chandrababu Naidu has expressed the apprehension recently that he might be arrested soon.
Naidu cooperated with the CID officials and his security was allowed to accompany him.
