In poll bound Chhattisgarh, the senior leaders of the two main political parties are visiting more often even if they cant yet roll out the list of candidates as yet because of serious competition on ground among the party workers and various other regional parties presenting themselves as option for rebels.

Congress chief Mallikarjun Kharge is in Raipur and today would be headed to Rajnandgaon, the bastion of former Chief Minister and senior BJP leader Dr Raman Singh. Party sources have said that Kharge would be meeting and deliberating with senior state Congress leaders and then around noon time would take part in the ‘Bharose Ka Sammelan’ public meeting. Party sources are now hopeful that Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel and Congress chief would have an opportunity to sit together in person to deliberate on list of candidates at a time when second BJP list is around the corner.

Kharge is to address the public meeting in village Thekwa of Rajnandgaon and this would demonstrate that party is serious about winning all seats that it can.
