As India is hosting leaders from top 20 most powerful economies in Delhi for G20 summit meeting, the Prime Minister Modi is said to be contemplating inviting all three Quad partner leaders to Republic Day 2024 and should this happen, it would be major signal for China that an Asian NATO may well be in formation.
To have the leaders of US, Japan and Australia at the Republic Day 2024 grand parade of New Delhi would be be a big signal to China as India is said to be the only country reluctant to formalize the military dimension of this partnership.
But there are others who opine that India is making slow but steady progress in deepening its relationship with Quad partners. While semiconductor manufacturing is being brought into India, the South Asian nation is also increasingly becoming self reliant when it comes to defence manufacturing and wooing resource rich Africa.
