Accused in air hostess murder case, commits suicide, hung himself with own pants

Accused Vikram, who was arrested in connection with the murder of a Raipur resident air hostess in Mumbai for training with Air India, died by suicide in the lock-up.

Police sources said that the accused hung himself with the help of his pants. The body has been sent for post-mortem, says the police.

The air hostess was living with sister and another boy in a flat but at the time of murder, the two others were not in the city.

It is not immediately known if action has been taken against police officials for lapse or a probe has been instituted.
