A young man in Bijnor of Uttar Pradesh was thrashed, undressed and then the crowd placed a garland of shoes around his neck.
It is learnt that the man had come to meet his girlfriend but the girl’s family caught up with him. The thrashing and undressing of the young man was done right before quite a crowd in Harganv Chadan area of Nagina police station limits.
Now that the video of the youth being humiliated has gone viral, police has registered a case against four people.
Police sources revealed that the youth belongs from closeby village and was in love with the girl from Harganv Chadan since past one year. It was on Sept 2 that the girl’s family got the tip that a boy who is more than friends to their daughter has come to meet her.
It was then they caught hold of him and thrashed him and humiliated him,a video of which went viral. Police has now registered an FIR and begun probe.
